The wildlife photography of Kevin Deacon, Fang, Fur, Teeth & Tusk, An Africa Portfolio. Over the past 22 years I have been pursuing wildlife images on many safaris to Africa.  It is the only travel adventure I know that can match the experiences and encounters I have underwater exploring the  World’s oceans. `Think of Kenya’s Maasai Mara as a vast terrestrial wilderness in contrast to an ocean wilderness, exchange a luxury camp for a dive resort, climb aboard your safari vehicle instead of a dive boat driven by your safari guide instead of your dive guide, then imagine focusing your cameras on face to face encounters with the world’s most spectacular wildlife, the terrestrial equivalent of face to face encounters with spectacular marinelife. Now you can visualise why an Africa safari should be on every diver's bucket list!’ Given my experience in Africa Safari options and knowledge of wildlife photography, I have decided to add Wildlife Safaris to our range of tours.  Check out our travel pages for coming trips I assure you, once you have a taste of Safari, you will want more.  Year to year I will be providing the best opportunities to experience the ultimate destinations for more Africa Safari experiences. For now, sit back, perhaps with a glass of wine or a freshly brewed coffee and immerse yourself in my portfolio. I hope you enjoy it. Kevin Deacon[/caption] What a privilege to be accepted into the family of elephants as mother and two aunties attend to the birth of a newborn baby boy. We sat in our safari vehicle for more than an hour watching the little calf learn to stand on shaky legs, watched his first suckle from mothers teat and enjoy his first dust bath. His two aunties concealed the embryonic blood and formed a defensive ring. Once the little calf was strong enough to walk they ambled off to join the herd, but not before introducing him to us and our safari guide, Mike, whose favourite animal is the elephant, it was after all, Mikes birthday too.   [caption id="attachment_2434" align="aligncenter" width="505"]Lion feeding on Kudu KD1_3311 “A cat has absolute emotional honesty: human beings, for one reason or another, may hide their feelings, but a cat does not.” Ernest Hemmingway[/caption] [caption id="attachment_2451" align="aligncenter" width="494"]D20_2419 "Walking with Rhinos, short sighted, aggressive, bad tempered animals, yet I am walking with them and they mean me no harm, who writes such bad press but a coward! Gonna take some time to do the things we never had. The wild dogs cry out in the night. As they grow restless longing for some solitary company. I know that I must do what's right.
