Africa Wildlife Safari - Umkumbe Bush Camp - Sabi Sands - Kruger

A safari in Kruger delivers an experience unique in all of Africa.  Here you will meet the big five and so much more right up close as the combination of dense forest, hills & waterholes means every encounter is face to face. There is no need for long telephoto lenses here.  Encounters often include rare species hard to observe elsewhere in Africa. Our safaris here have resulted in exceptional game viewing and photographs of White and Black Rhinos and Calves, Painted Wolves, Leopards and cubs. Of course all the rest of the big game are here in abundance also.
One needs to appreciate that such encounters on just one safari is exceptional based on our 30 years exploring all of Africa's most famous safari destinations.

Somewhat unique to Sabi Sands Conservancies, Kruger is the combination of a Game Guide Driver and a Tracker in each vehicle. The expertise of these trackers is such that the most rare or desirable species don't escape the sharp eyes of these teams. Working in combination with the other two game vehicles and their trackers produces an exceptional hit rate of exciting encounters on every game drive.

The habitat in Sabi Sands conservancies favours close interaction with wildlife. Even an iPhone will capture good images here.
A white rhino and calf graze peacefully within a few metres of our vehicle.

Also unique to Kruger's Vast National Park, private conservancies such as Elephant Plains are able to provide game drives in the early evening revealing the nightly behaviour of big game and providing encounters with nocturnal creatures.
In combination with your Photo Guides, Kevin & Cherie, you will have the benefit of their expertise to ensure correct specialised Spotlight Night Photography camera settings and techniques to capture rare and unique, exciting night images.

As a lion roars into the night, a hunting Owl stares into the darkness, it's prey gripped in it's claws.

The Black Rhino is the rarest species of the 'Big Five' game animals in all of Africa. Sabi Sands is one of very few locations where such encounters are possible.

The lodge and superior luxury safari tent accommodations never fail to provide the ambience of safari.

Long lunches between game drives, sitting back on the sundeck, sipping a cool drink & chatting with the friendly Lodge Team will create wonderful memories of your safari holiday.

Leopard encounters and even the African Painted Wolves are a special feature of safaris in Sabi Sands, Kruger.

Somewhat unique to safaris in Kruger is the evening activity made famous in many South African game parks 'The Sundowner'
There is nothing that can compare to sharing traditional African snacks, gin & tonics, or your favourite beverage, shared with your friends and guides, gathered around your game vehicles and viewing spectacular Sunsets.
